The North Australian Festival of Arts is dedicated to developing and growing inclusivity within the arts, while aiming to diminish and eventually remove any and all obstacles, ensuring equal access and opportunities to individuals.

FESTIVAL ACCESSIBILITY

ARE ALL VENUES ACCESSIBLE?
We want our festival to be inclusive and welcoming for everyone! While we endeavour to make all venues accessible, this isn’t always possible. Please look for the accessibility symbol in our program when choosing which show you would like to see. You can also contact the team to discuss any concerns or any special requirements you may have. We’re here to help and make your NAFA experience the best one.

IS THERE ACCESSIBLE PARKING AT THE VENUES?
Yes there is! A Site Map of each venue will be uploaded before the Festival begins showing parking, toilets, food and venues. Alternatively you can find our maps located in our festival program.

WHAT DO I DO IF I NEED WHEELCHAIR ACCESS?
For all wheelchair and access requirements you can contact our team and we will ensure arrangements are made.

WHAT DO I DO IF I HAVE A COMPANION CARD?
If you have a disability and a lifelong need for 'attendant care support' in order to participate in community activities and attend venues, the Companion Card can help you with the costs of getting out and about with the support of a companion.

When purchasing an Adult, Concession, Student or Child ticket, the option for a Companion Card will be shown. Please select this additional ticket for your companion.

Please ensure your bring you companion card to gain access to the show.

This can include, but is not limited to, people with autism, sensory sensitivities, Tourette’s syndrome, learning disabilities or dementia, as well as people living with anxiety or people who have experienced trauma.

A full list of Relaxed Performances will be published when the 2025 program is released.

MOBILITY IN TOWNSVILLE

BrioMetrix Mobility in Townsville Map provides an accessible effort rating system to support navigation planning for when you visit places within Townsville city. This information is relevant to the elderly, frail and walkers, as well as users of wheelchairs, strollers and mobility scooters, anyone with wheels on pathways or mobility consideration needs.
