WELCOMING QUEENSLAND SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
Immerse yourself in music at NAFA in 2024.
NAFA will welcome the full Queensland Symphony Orchestra (QSO) to Townsville for the first time in seven years for its debut appearance at the festival. QSO will be performing Symphony Under The Stars, a free outdoor concert at Jezzine Barracks featuring Dvorák’s "Symphony No.8", a new work by Queensland’s acclaimed composer Paul Dean, and Nigel Westlake’s "Flying Dream Suite" from the Original Motion Picture Paper Planes, plus more.

THE FLYING ORCHESTRA
Have you ever wanted to experience a symphony orchestra live? This is your opportunity to get up close to the music, as Queensland Symphony Orchestra comes to Townsville Civic Theatre.
In this interactive family concert you will meet the musicians behind the instruments, and marvel as they work together to tell stories and create amazing sounds.
