Chanel Lucas and Jamie Clark bring their engaging folk, old time, Americana songs and tunes to Townsville for NAFA 2024. They feature banjo, guitar and ukulele combined with warm, pure vocals in this duo. Chanel has toured across the world with award-winning Queensland folk-pop act ‘women in docs.’ Jamie is a CMAA Bluegrass Flatpicking Champion and was described as “a cracking guitarist” by Rolling Stone Magazine. Chanel’s music has been in the Top 10 of the US Blues and Roots charts. She has been described as 'disarmingly charming' by The Australian, and The Courier Mail describes her songs as bringing 'honest emotions and tunes you can hum, delivered with spirit and conviction'. Jamie is a guitarist, songwriter, composer, arranger, and bandleader in musical endeavours ranging from jazz, rock, country, folk, bluegrass to cabaret and music theatre. He has appeared at various festivals including The Wangaratta Festival of Jazz, The Woodford Folk Festival, and The Brisbane Festival.
