Workshop Description
Explore the alternative photographic technique of cyanotype printing in The Studio. In this workshop participants will learn how to create photographic images by placing objects directly onto light sensitive paper. Attendees will explore using daylight to make a set of cyan-blue cyanotype prints. Participants should bring a selection of items to the workshop that have interesting silhouettes. Objects that lie flat and have varying opacity, such as feathers and botanical material will create effective cyanotype prints. There will also be a variety of suitable objects provided to experiment with. This workshop is suitable for beginners (ages 15 – 21), and attendees will be guided through every step of the process.
